What is the Difference Between a Texas Felony Charge vs. a Texas Misdemeanor Charge

A Texas felony charge is any offense in which a person may be confine in the Texas Department of Correction – Institutional Division or State Jail Facility.  A Class B misdemeanor or Class A misdemeanor offense may result in confinement in the county jail up to 180 days for a Class B misdemeanor and up to one (1) year for a Class A misdemeanor.
